Angelia has worked for many years with, for and on behalf of small and minority businesses, serving on various committees and boards that support small business. For over 15 years she has worked with CMSDC (Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council); HMSDC (Houston Minority Supplier Development Council); Chicago MBDA (Minority Business Development Agency) and WIPP (Women Impacting Public Policy). She has been an entrepreneur for over 16 years. She has received several awards, most notably Contractor of the Year by MBDA.

She is a virulent advocate for small business taking on organizations and individuals that threaten the existence and viability of small business. Every institution needs its champion and Angelia has a winning record taking a stand and raising awareness about disparities impacting small and minority business. The challenge has had peaks and valleys, but the rewards have cultivated a dedication to the cause to which she volunteers tirelessly.

Angelia is currently the Chief Strategist for iCoach360, a boutique firm that specializes in bringing entrepreneurs together for education, business development, leadership training, and networking which functions as a reference for small businesses to gain insight on a multitude of issues affecting entrepreneurial businesses. The education, whether formal training or mastermind sessions, have real life, tangible impact on the businesses and people who participate.

A simple dedication to the cause is not enough to make a good business coach or entrepreneurial leader. You have to have experienced the trials and tribulations of business ownership. Angelia has owned, developed, and bought and sold businesses for years, which have resulted in seven figure contracts with clients including Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club, UPS, City of Chicago, ComEd, Albertson’s, BP (Deep Water Horizon Oil Spill), Super Storm Sandy Recovery teams and many more. This type of expertise cannot be purchased, it has to be lived. Her extensive breadth and depth of knowledge is far ranging whether to guide business owners strategically or navigationally, or both. A benefit of working with Angelia is the startling array of contacts she has and can possibly connect you with.

Her ability to communicate to individuals and large groups and to connect on a personal level has been demonstrated through many public speaking engagements. She has lectured, taught and spoken to groups for College of DuPage, the CMSDC, the US Postal Service, the City of Milwaukee, women’s business groups and several large religious groups on topics including entrepreneurship, leadership, sales and business development, marketing and branding, occupational safety as well as application of spiritual teachings to create your best life.

Ms. Hopson is a second generation entrepreneur. Her parents owned and operated a print press and Christian Bookstore, whose philosophy of business fully embraced a quote by Dr. John C. Maxwell: “The Dream is free, but the journey isn’t.” Angelia firmly believes life is about doing, not waiting or wanting but actually doing and creating the life you dream about. She is a graduate of both Robert Morris College and the Tuck School of Business Executive Training.
